I'm getting a hankering for some double mint gum (That's a Seinfeld reference for all those in the know)! We've got twin Golden Chevroned Tanagers here vying for the bananas that were just laid out in the feeder. Sanhaço de Encontro Amarelo in Portuguese...these wonderful birds have subtle shades of blue, yellow, green and even purple. There is no doubt that Brazil has literally hundreds of flashy birds with colors that are almost blinding. Some of my favorite birds, though, are the ones with quietly beautiful colors that force you you to look hard to see. @trilhadostucanos
