Our women birder groups are very diverse. This group was composed of birders from all over the world, including the US, India, Mexico, Israel and Brazil
What a wonderful time we had! We saw over 250 species of birds and swam with the mythical pink dolphin

Birding Is The World Brazil for Women is on a mission to empower female birdwatchers globally. We take birdwatchers to Brazil and parts of South America, welcoming everyone regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, or class.

Changing Trends in Birdwatching

Our clientele is diverse, and we are incredibly proud of the increasing number of women choosing to embark on birdwatching adventures together. Traditionally, the birdwatching world has been male-dominated. However, this is evolving, with many women now excelling in the field. According to the Audubon Society, 42% of birdwatchers in the United States are women. This rise calls for a specific group of women who wish to experience birdwatching abroad.

The Importance of Inclusivity

Many female birders, despite their achievements, still feel intimidated by the presence of men in the field. They often find their knowledge ridiculed or underestimated. Some have even faced criticism over their lifer lists. This type of "bird bullying" can dissuade people from pursuing their passion for birding. We want to change this narrative.

At Birding Is The World Brazil for Women, we aim to create a welcoming environment for female birdwatchers. Our initiative is in its early stages but has already gained significant success. We invite you to join our growing family.

The Joy of Birdwatching Together

When women come together to birdwatch, they share stories, knowledge, and experiences in a stress-free environment. This camaraderie fosters confidence and encourages more women to engage in birdwatching activities. As they learn and grow, they build lasting friendships.

Women Birders Learning From Each Other

Participating in a women-only birdwatching experience allows female birders to learn from each other. They can exchange tips, skills, and insights atop their adventures. This support system empowers them to pursue new challenges confidently.

Embracing Nature's Wonders

Birdwatching is more than just observing birds; it’s about connecting with nature. Each birding trip offers a unique opportunity to experience diverse ecosystems, breathtaking landscapes, and the thrilling beauty of avian life. Embracing these adventures can change lives and foster a deeper appreciation for our planet.

Making a Difference in Conservation

By joining our tours, participants contribute to bird conservation efforts. Their passion for birdwatching helps us support endangered species and protect their habitats. Women have a powerful voice in these movements. Together, we can make a significant impact.
